Toshiba recently released the world’s lightest 13.3 inch performance laptop with DVD drive and it seems to big contender to some of the currently seated Apple big boys. This new Toshiba business laptop was designed to give business users great performance and durability at prices less than $1000. Its features are quite good and smokes the Apple Macbook series in a variety of categories including price. It’s beginning weight is three pounds and is only an inch thick (remember it has a DVD drive so that’s pretty cool).

The R700 laptop is designed for on-the-go performance laptop users. It doesn’t feature a fancy graphics card (just an integrated Intel chip) so you can’t expect it to be a very good gaming laptop. However, with that said, this new laptop will be great for anyone looking for a laptop that will perform well and be easy to carry around. It also has a lot sweeter price point compared to Apple’s laptops so if you’re looking for an alternative for one, this Toshiba laptop is one to think about.

So if you’re looking for laptop that’s great to travel with–from in the car or in a plane–you should strongly consider the new Toshiba R700 laptop. This will be a great computer to buy. The Toshiba Portege R700 with a Intel Core i3 processor and 500 GB hard will start at $999. The faster model with the Intel Core i7 and 128 GB solid state harddrive will be sold for $1599. You can find the laptops both online and offline and many Toshiba Preferred retailers including Toshiba Direct.

Choosing a gaming computer can actually be a pretty big hassle and I’ve always stressed out when searching a replacement laptop every few years. The nine laptops below have been broken up into different price brackets and have also been chosen because of their quality reviews on Amazon. However, because these were all laptops found Amazon, some other laptop models and brands have been left out.

For example, if you’re looking for the ultimate gaming machine and money is no object, you really can’t go wrong with Alienware or Falcon Northwest. These two laptop brands are the Ferrari of the computer world and you pay a premium for their monster computers.

Anyways, I hope you find this list of laptops helpful and are able to find the gaming laptop you want.

Computers are no more considered as luxury; rather they have become the necessity. Running the day-to-day activities has become impossible without a computer in this high-tech era. Whether you are a businessperson, student, job hunter or a homemaker, you need a computer to run your everyday business. The compact and high tech computers, also known as laptops have made life much easier while you are on the move. Big brand name laptops like Toshiba, Dell, Sony, and Compaq easily cost from few hundreds to few thousand dollars depending on their configuration. Purchasing a laptop with upfront cash is a recommended way to finance your laptop. However, in the current economy, it may not be possible for everyone to purchase a laptop with lump sum cash. They can avail the financial plans offered by various companies in order to own a laptop computer.

There are many opportunities for financing a laptop. Let us say, you want to finance a Toshiba laptop. You can find great deals on finance plans by doing a little exploration. Most of the retailers offer financial plans through their own store credit cards. This card works just like any other regular credit card. However, you can use this store credit card to make purchases only in that particular store. In order to qualify for this type of finance plans, you should have a good credit score. Most of the stores also offer introductory offers such as limited time no interest, no payment options, and other great discount offers. By using store credit card, you can own a laptop without any hassle.

Another great way to finance your laptop is to take loan from you local bank. Most of the banks provide small loans for their existing customers even if they have below average credit score. However, if you have bad credit, you will have to pay high interest rate.

If you are in desperate need for a laptop, you can think of financing your computer by taking advantage of payday cash. This is quick cash and there is no credit check. Payday cash is ideal for people that are on regular payroll and yet have bad credit. One has to usually repay the money within 30 days. However, while borrowing money form payday cash, one has to be extremely careful, as the interest rate will go very high if he/she fails to repay the money on time.

One more way to finance your laptop is to go for rent-to-own companies such as Aaron’s Inc., BlueHippo and so on. They perform no credit check and hence are ideal for people with bad credit. These companies carry big brand name computers such as Toshiba, Dell, Sony, Compaq, and HP and so on. Rent–to-own companies offer very attractive low monthly payment plans. However, while one opts to pay small premiums, it takes a long time to own the computer. Most of the time customer ends up paying more than double the retail price of the computer. As these companies report the payment history to the credit bureaus, one can re-establish his/her credit score by making payments on time.

The above said options are some of the ways to finance you laptop. By doing a little research, you can find the best suitable finance plan that matches you and your budget.

Though there are always exceptions to the rule, most seniors use computers primarily to email family and friends, do searches for health updates and leisure activity information, read consumer reviews for products or to monitor the weather. Therefore, the best laptop for senior citizens would likely not include fancy new releases with sophisticated gadgetry, software and entertainment options. All the bells and whistles of many top-rated notebooks also come with an expensive price tag – a feature that would not benefit a population that lives mostly on retirement savings and fixed incomes. It would seem that affordability, simplicity, light weight and ease of access to the internet would be the primary features for a laptop designed for seniors.

The Amazon-exclusive Asus UL20A-A1 offers users a thin, light notebook with up to 7.5 hours of battery life. Weighing in at 4.2 pounds, this model has a 12.1-inch HD backlit LED screen, a 250 GB hard drive and 2 GB of RAM with up to 4 GB possible through expandable slots. The ultra portable laptop comes with a Windows 7 Home Premium operating system.

One of the reasons this Asus model is ideal for seniors is the ease with which it is possible to navigate email and visit favorite sites. The chiclet keyboard feature is one that has small, flat rubber rectangles for keys. They resemble small erasers or Chiclet gum, the trademark chewing gum for which this kind of keyboard is named. Having intuitive keys that are easy to see and easy to push make the laptop experience an inviting one for seniors.

There are some technological features that can be quite beneficial to seniors. Surround sound on the Altec Lansing speakers makes it easy to hear sound and offer home theater acoustics. The Asus Smart Logon feature uses face recognition software to log on users automatically. IceCool technology prevents the palm rest from becoming hot to the touch. Wireless connectivity and an included webcam give those who are comfortable instant visual access to friends and family.

On a practical note, the Asus UL20A-A1 costs less than $600. Defects are protected through the Asus 360 one-year global warranty and an accidental damage warranty. A 30-second boot time does not wear on the patience of any user, and there is a 24-hour tech support service. So many features in one simple, affordable package make this notebook a best laptop for senior citizens.

The Toshiba Satellite T135-S1307 TruBrite comes with a slightly larger screen and a little longer battery life. At 3.9 pounds, it is the lightest and thinnest notebook that Toshiba makes. This model features a 13.3-inch screen, nine hours and 22 minutes of battery life with the low-voltage 1.3 GHz Intel Pentium SU4100 processor, 500 GB of hard drive memory, 3 GB of RAM, 1.3 megapixel face recognition software, built-in stereo speakers, a full 85-key keyboard and the Windows 7 Home Premium operating system.

A few distinct features separate the Toshiba Satellite T135-S1307 TruBrite from the Asus UL20A-A1. An HDMI-CEC audio-video output allows seniors to easily other media players in use with just one remote. With three USB ports built into the side of the notebook, this Toshiba Satellite model has the capability to charge cell phones and other devices like cameras while the laptop is in sleep mode or turned off. Draft-N Wi-Fi networking and a fast Ethernet function give users faster speed and broader connection range than other brands. Bluetooth connectivity allows senior citizens to synch their PDAs and mobile phones.

The best features of the Toshiba Satellite T135-S1307 that make it a best laptop are its weight, price ($599.99), and internet connection speed. It is, however, a best bet for senior citizens who are a little savvier than most about electronic devices and comfortable using them. The model has been noted as a laptop that reduces environmental impact because it restricts use of mercury, lead and other harmful substances.

The Sony VAIO VPC-W121AX/W offers up to 7 hours of battery life, a 250 GB hard drive, 1 GB of RAM, a built-in Motion Eye webcam and microphone to allow chatting and image sharing, and a 10.1-inch wide-screen display. Some of its cool best laptop features are the same as those of the Toshiba Satellite T135-S1307: Bluetooth connectivity, Draft-N Wi-Fi networking, reduced environmental impact and face recognition software. Additionally, the Sony VAIO VPC-W121AX/W comes with VAIO Media plus Multimedia Streaming software, which allows users to stream photos, music and video to another computer, television or Playstation 3 (or from these other devices to your laptop). Because this model is specifically designed for mobility as well as mobile devices, it can reduce electrical current leakage and help save battery life.

One drawback of the Sony VAIO VPC-W121AX/W is that the laptop comes with a Windows 7 starter edition. This may not be such a tragedy to most, but many buyers want full editions to have full access to all available features of the software. Sony has included an option to upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium at any time. This is a consolation, but an extra added step for those who want to use all features immediately. At a price of just $485.14, the Sony VAIO VPC-W121AX/W is extremely affordable for senior citizens with just enough speed and technical gadgets to keep them connected to family and friends.

Though the Asus UL20A-A1 seems to offer as a package the features that are most appealing to seniors for price, weight and ease of use, it will never be clear cut to select only one best laptop for senior citizens. Learning curves, computer experience, budget and desired purpose for use will always make the computer purchasing experience one that must be tailored for each individual user. Before an elder or someone shopping for an elder whips out a credit card or checkbook, he or she will need to now exactly what the skills level of the user is and the intended use. Not knowing these details before a purchase could make your money land for the wrong product.

There are three things every smart laptop shopper should know. First, always comparison shop and include at least one Toshiba model among your choices. Second, regardless of your needs, your best choice is likely to be a Toshiba model. Third, you will never make a major mistake if you buy a Toshiba laptop. There are several important reasons for making these bold claims.

First, Toshiba has a laptop for every need and budget. Currently the company offers 47 models ranging across seven diverse categories such as basic, high performance, game-playing and so on. They come in sizes from less than three pounds to slightly more than eight pounds, screens from 10 to 18 inches diagonal, and prices from as low as $350 to up to $2500 for the highest performance models. Toshiba’ laptop website also offers special price discounts on discontinued and refurbished models.

Toshiba also offers several different ways for you to conveniently shop for and buy your laptop. You can buy direct from Toshiba at the company’ laptop website that also enables you to customize your model. Moreover, the website exclusively offers certain models and an important and impartial buying guide from a leading technology partner.

You also can buy from several different Toshiba partners, including online retailers such as Amazon; business resellers such as CDW that will provide a broader business solution; and in-store retailers such as Best Buy where you can try out various models before making your buying decision.

Equally important, Toshiba provides unparalleled customer service and support. This begins with tools to help choose the type of laptop you need. However, it also includes such benefits as a choice of technical service plans, a technical support center, online forums to share knowledge among other customers as well as company experts, a broad range of downloadable information for each model, convenient repair service centers, and easy ways to purchase parts and accessories.

Finally, Toshiba laptop sales have always been driven by the company’ commitment to innovation. Since introducing its first laptop model in 1985, Toshiba has built its track record with the introduction of notebooks (1989), sub-notebooks (1994), mini-notebooks (1996) and so on through the fall, 2009 introduction of its ultra thin & light model.

In remarks to investors earlier this year, Toshiba’ President and Chief Executive Officer confirmed the company’ commitment laptop innovation. Combined with its $55 billion in worldwide assets, Toshiba is the laptop company you can rely on.

You are looking to rent a laptop computer but are overwhelmed by the choices. Look no further; this article reviews three, randomly chosen laptop rental vendors, and gives you the unbiased scoop.

Laptorent.com is one of the largest computer rental companies in the nation. They ship for free in the New York Tri State area, and will ship anywhere overnight for an additional $45. Their laptop rentals include a 15” MacBook Pro, PowerBook Titanium G4, Apple MacBook Pro (17” and 15.4” varieties), Asus Eee PC, HP Envy 15, Dell Inspiron 9300 Pentium, and a Dell Latitude D800. Their website does not give you direct prices per unit, as their specialty is outfitting companies and business teams for corporate environments, tradeshows, and conventions. They have a quote link on their homepage, however, that has straightforward interface, although it can be frustrating not to see actual prices, upfront.

Rentourlaptops.com has a more attractive website than Laptorent, and a similar variety. They carry various models of Apple, Dell, HP Compaq, IBM, Acer, Sony, and Toshiba, totaling 38 different models. They do generate specific quotes for your business’ needs, but each of their 38 laptops for rent feature a monthly rental fee, as well. You can rent a laptop with Rentourlaptops.com for as low as $175 per month, and as high as $1,825.

Rentfusion.com only rents laptops to companies, and not individuals. Like Laptorent, you must obtain a quote from a form or agent. Obtaining a quote makes more sense for Rentfusion, as they do specialize in more than the simple laptop rental process. If you are looking to rent a laptop with them for a tradeshow, they will even prepare price sheets and programs to make sure that you are working with a fully functional product, rather than a laptop whose systems you must prepare yourself. They have three different locations in the United States—as Vegas, Chicago, and Orlando—making shipping and maintenance more accessible to you, the renter. They feature four PC laptops for rent, two Apples, and one Tablet PC. The only obvious disadvantage to going with Rentfusion is that they do not have nearly as many models at their disposal.

When you are looking to rent a laptop from any of the above sites, you may first want to assess which company best suits your needs, and then obtain quotes. The cost is the obvious decision maker, so find first which company’ services and products best tailor to you.

The search for a good laptop has becomes more difficult than ever thanks to the seemingly infinite choices available to consumers; Toshiba makes it easier by differentiating amongst its Satellite, Qosimo, Portege, and Tecra laptop lines.

The Satellite line is a versatile laptop to meet casual users’ needs, while the Qosimo is a widescreen entertainment-centric line. Porteges are the most portable, with a focus on sleek design, and the Tecra is the business/professional user multitasker. Each subset varies in the features according to laptop, ranging from basics to custom specifications.

While some manufacturers try to maximize consumers’confusion over the distinguishing strengths of different types of laptops, Toshiba chooses to go the opposite route by marketing each model to a targeted audience.

Previous Toshiba Tecra laptops, such as the M8, were met with great reviews from a variety of sources. The most recent Tecras are the M10, R10, and the A10. The M10, dubbed “ower to Go” starts at $999; the R10 Thin & Light starts at $1399, and the A10, known as the “obile Desktop,”starts at $999.00. While the former two models feature a 14.1 inch screen, the A10 is a little heftier with a 15.4 inch widescreen.

Toshiba is framing the Tecra laptops as the ultimate solution for a variety of business tasks, with durable structures and 3 year warranties on select models. Most models in the series feature an Intel Core 2 duo Processor and 2 GB memory, while the A10-ST9017 and M10-ST9117 can be configured to custom specifications. The battery has an expected life of just under 3 hours, and standard features such as a built-in webcam, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Although it is the Portege line that is known for its design, Toshiba has committed an equal degree of effort into the outer presentation of the Tecra. Since 2001, when Toshiba and Toyota co-designed the Tecra 8200’ lid for durability and aesthetic quality, the Tecra has consistently maintained its professional yet eye-catching appearance.

The Tecra line is generally lighter than the standard business-model laptop, and its picture quality has received good reviews across the board. The Tecra M10 and A10 models have a few rare features, such as face recognition technology and Windows Vista Business software. The Tecra line is an affordable option, costing significantly less than the Portege line and can be traded in with the Toshiba recycle program. The Toshiba Tecra laptop is a great option for consumers seeking a reliable, stylish professional laptop.

Have you ever wanted to watch a movie on a laptop at home? Most laptops can do this, but which perform the best? This article will answer this pressing question by reviewing 3 good laptops for movie-watching.

Apple MacBook: The Apple MacBook is a great laptop for watching movies because of the great picture and audio quality and speed of the laptop. The MacBook has a 13.3″ LED display which is great for watching a movie, the picture is very crisp and detailed and the speakers on the laptop are great . The average battery life of the MacBook is around 7 hours after full charge. Apple’s MacBook also has the advantage of being a lightweight and thin laptop, weighing in at 4.7 pounds with a thickness of 1.08 inches. The only bad thing about the MacBook is that it will be difficult to use for people who normally use Windows. The retail price on an Apple MacBook is $999 from the Apple store.

Toshiba Satellite L550-ST5707: This high performance Toshiba laptop features a 17.3″ screen and 350gb of hardrive space. The large screen and Intel Graphics Media Accelerator make this a great laptop for watching movies. Windows 7 is pre-loaded on this laptop. This laptop features an LED screen as well, this makes for clear picture quality and vivid colors. This laptop also features an HDMI port which is very useful for some customers. The only bad thing about this laptop is that it is heavier than the MacBook. The Toshiba laptop is 7 pounds. Overall this is another great option for watching movies on a laptop. Pricing on this model is $700.

Sony VGN-Z890: The Sony VGN-Z890 does have a smaller screen than the other laptop choices (13.1″ LED) but makes up for this with other interesting features. Some of these features include Blu-ray disc playback and burning, 500gb of space and 7.5 hours of battery life. This laptop comes with the new Windows 7 OS pre-loaded. Another great thing about this laptop is that it weighs less than both of the other laptops listed, it weighs 3.42 pounds. The Sony VGN-Z890 is a fast laptop which is smaller in screen size as well as lighter which means it is easier to carry around but the price tag is much higher than the other two laptops.

Simplicity is best when trying to find a laptop for the home. Most people just want to be able to write a letter, go on the internet, or maybe play a couple of games on their computer. You do not need to get a laptop with all of the latest features and applications to do this. Inexpensive and reliable is definitely the way to go.

Wal-Mart carries some of the best brands on the market when it comes to laptops. They offer Dell, HP, Toshiba, and that is just to name a few. Do not be misled, though. Just because you get the satisfaction of getting one of these beloved name brands does not mean you are going to have to empty out your wallet. You can be sure you are getting a great deal when you go to Wal-Mart.

At Wal-Mart, it is very easy to tailor a notebook to your individual needs. You will easily find computers with Windows Vista, XP and Windows 7. Think about which one would best suit your needs. Another thing to look at is how much memory the notebook has on it. This is significant, especially if you will be storing a lot of pictures or documents on your device. In addition, does the laptop come with the ability to expand the memory? Not all do, so look carefully.

One very important aspect of the purchasing process is to make sure the laptop comes with some kind of security device. Viruses on the web are commonplace nowadays so it is important to protect yourself against them.

Look at the life of the battery as well. If you are planning to move the laptop around at all, it is imperative to note how long it will remain charged. You do not want to be doing something important only to have to stop in the middle to locate the charger!

Make sure you like the physical aspects of the laptop as well. Find a color and make with which you are comfortable. Also, make sure the screen is large enough so that you do not have to squint to read the words on the monitor. Finding the laptop for you will be easy enough once you prioritize your needs.

Toshiba is a company known for producing both consumer and industrial electronics. Even if you don’t own any of their brand name products, something you own probably has chips and semiconductors manufactured by Toshiba. Needless to say Toshiba has become a leading manufacturer of laptop computers.

Laptops have experienced a dramatic increase in ownership in the last decade. This has had the effect of reducing prices while creating markets for parts and software previously not available. While prices are much more affordable, buying a laptop is not necessarily a cheap endeavor. Toshiba provides an excellent laptop at an affordable price, but a consumer may not have the cash on hand for a purchase.

It is important to find financing when one can not afford to pay up front for a laptop. In recent years specialized online companies have arisen that offer various options. These often include insurance against theft and fire. A good financing plan not only provides a good rate, it also provides a guarantee that you will have a working laptop for as long as you have payments.

While specialty companies are one option, what is most commonly bought is the financing from the laptop seller. Storefronts that sell laptops will often offer their own financing plans to help sell their laptops. As the plans are meant to be pushed with a sale, a smart buyer can often get a very good rate resulting in very affordable payments.

Some plans include options that pay your payment for you in case of losing your job. This will provide for monthly payments for Toshiba laptop even if you hit hard times. With many businesses today it is important to have access to one’s office at all times. Purchasing a laptop not only guarantees this access but provides a portable means of leaving the office and still being capable of working. With today’s financing no one working in an office should be without a trusty laptop.
