Good Entertainment Laptop
Mobile gaming and entertainment is becoming more and more popular as the prices of laptops drop. While gaming laptops are still more expensive than a comparable desktop at the same price, they are still much cheaper than they used to be. If you’re looking for a good entertainment laptop you probably have a few features that you want in your ideal notebook. Most people using their laptop for gaming and watching movies will want: a large screen larger than 15″; a good dual-core processor that is preferably a Intel Core 2 Duo; 4 GB of RAM; and a good graphics card that can handle the games you throw at it.
Laptops with those features will be about $900 retail. And while that price can be steep for some people (there is laptop financing available if you need it) you’ll get a machine that will get everything done that you need and will last a few years without going completely obsolete. Anyways, after a bit of research, the laptop series that I found that was very competitive in price as well gave you a lot of bang for your buck was the Acer Aspire laptops. Some of the high-end laptops from Acer are really good and can get just about anything you want done. Depending on your price range, you could go with one of the Acer Aspires for about $650 which would get a lot things you would need done if you’re just wanting to watch movies, play the occasional game, and chat with friends online. If you’re looking for something to new PC games while out and about you may want to buy one of their $900+ models. The Acer Aspire AS8735G-6502 notebook computer is on Newegg for about $900 and has all the features a mainstream PC gamer would want. It has an 18.4″ screen, Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 4 GB of RAM, and a decent Nvidia graphics card. For movie watchers, this laptop will have everything you need to enjoy your movies in high-definition as well as have enjoyable audio quality. For gamers, this Acer laptop will give plenty of bang for your buck and will handle most games that you throw at it. If you’re more of a hardcore gamer and need a laptop to play all of your games on the highest settings, you’ll want to consider a laptop from Alienware or Falcon Northwest (both of which will start at around $1200).
