Are you thinking about getting a netbook laptop this holiday season?  Well if you are, you should be happy to know that many retail stores are going to be putting their small laptops on sale.  The day after Thanksgiving has traditionally been the most busy day of the year for most retail stores.  Stores ranging from OfficeMax and Staples to Best Buy and Target have massive sales on a variety of different products.  Computers have always been a popular Black Friday item.  Usually the sale price of laptops and desktops tend to be hundreds of dollars more than a typical weekly special.

Small laptops have been a huge hit over the past several years.  They’re cheap, small, and very portable.  They make great gifts for people business professionals, students, and even moms.  While they don’t have a built-in DVD reader, people still have the option to store movies onto the hard drive of the laptop itself.  This makes a netbook computer great for vacations and trips.  If you have kids and are traveling, you can put their favorite movies or games on the small laptop and let them entertain themselves while you’re driving the car in peace.

One big sale that’s coming up on Black Friday comes from Office Depot.  They have their 10.1″ Acer Netbook computer going on sale for $100 off.  So, instead of paying the regular price of $299 (definitely affordable for most budgets), you can get it for $199.  That’s a blow-out deal!  Because of that knock-0ut price, you should be ready to get up at 5:00 am and line up at the doors so it doesn’t sell-out on you.

Another sale that you should definitely keep your eyes on if you’re looking for a cheap small laptop is from Kmart.  This year they’re going to have a 7″ internet laptop for only $119.99.  Yeah, you read that right, they’re going to have a Delstar netbook for $120.  At that price, anyone can afford to get one of these laptops this Christmas.  If you’re thinking about getting the Delstar computer, you better be prepared to wake up as early as possible and be first in line.  I can almost guarantee that laptop will be out the door before the first hour of the store’s opening finishes.

If you’re not one to wait in lines, you may like the deal Dell is going to offer on their website for their Dell Inspiron Mini for $249.  While that’s not a particularly crazy sale (only $30 off), you will definitely get your money’s worth when it comes to quality and customer service.  Also, if you’re interested in the Dell mini laptop, you don’t have to wake up at 5:00am to get it.  Getting the laptop from Dell is also good if you’re needing financing for your purchase.  Dell has their “Dell Preferred Account” which allows you to get your laptop without a down payment.  You can opt to pay over time for it and be good to go to get all your other presents.

With all the specials this year on small laptops, you’ll be busy trying to decide which one you’re going to get.  If you do want to get one at a retail store and have some instant gratification (like me), you seriously will want to wake up early.  Laptops are often the first thing to go and most stores only stock 5 or 6 of them.  That means most stores sell out with 1 or 2 hours.  Anyways, good luck and wear some football pads.
